🎮 About Gomoku Online
Gomoku Online – Five in a Row is a strategy board game where two players take turns placing stones on the board. The objective is simple: be the first player to connect five stones of your color in a continuous horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
You can play locally with another person, challenge the computer, play against real players online, participate in challenges, or create and join tournaments.
🎯 How to Play
Players take turns placing one stone at a time on an empty intersection of the board.
Once a stone has been placed, the turn passes to the other player. Think ahead, block your opponent's combinations, and try to create your own line of five stones.
The first player to connect five stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins the game.
👥 2 Players – Local Game
Select 2 Players to play with another person using the same device.
One player uses the black stones and the other player uses the white stones. Players alternate turns by selecting an empty position on the board.
The match score is displayed above the board so you can keep track of victories during multiple games.
In this mode, you can use the Undo button to undo the last move when available, or select Restart to start a new game.
🤖 Play vs AI
Select Play vs AI to play against the computer.
You can choose from several AI difficulty levels. Lower levels are designed for easier games, while higher levels provide a more difficult strategic challenge.
You can also choose who plays first. Select Human if you want to make the first move, or AI if you want the computer to start.
Place your stones on the board and try to connect five before the AI does. The Undo option can also be used in this mode when available.
🌐 Online Multiplayer
Online Multiplayer allows you to play Gomoku in real time against another player over the internet.
To start, select Online Multiplayer from the Mode menu.
Enter your player name in the Player Name field and then select Find a player. This makes you available in the online player area.
The Players Online section displays players who are currently available. You can select another player and send a game invitation.
If another player invites you, an invitation will appear. You can accept the invitation to start the match or decline it.
After an invitation is accepted, both players are connected to the same online match. Each move is synchronized through the Gomoku Online server, allowing both players to see the same board and the opponent's moves in real time.
During an online match, the status area indicates whose turn it is. Wait for your turn before placing your next stone.
The Chat feature allows players to send messages to each other during online gameplay.
The Public Matches area can display available public matches and supported spectator options.
To leave an online match, select End Match. An internet connection is required to use Online Multiplayer.
🔥 Gomoku Challenge
Gomoku Challenge is designed for players who want to test their skills against the computer and track their progress.
Select Open Challenge to enter Challenge Mode. You can choose from the available AI difficulty levels and play challenge matches.
Winning challenge matches can earn points. Your results can contribute to your challenge history, streak, and leaderboard position.
Higher difficulty levels provide a stronger AI opponent and a more difficult challenge.
🏆 Tournament Mode
Tournament Mode allows multiple players to participate in organized Gomoku competitions.
To create a tournament, select Tournament from the Mode menu, enter your player name, choose a tournament name and tournament code, and select Create Tournament.
The tournament code can be shared with other players. Players who want to participate can enter their player name and the tournament code, then select Join Tournament.
The Tournament Players section displays the players who have joined the tournament.
Tournament matches, standings, scores, and tournament progress are displayed in the Tournament section as the competition progresses.
Tournament rules can be opened directly from the Tournament Rules section.
The current Tournament Mode is for Gomoku competition only. It does not involve real-money wagering, gambling, or cash prizes.
💬 Chat
Chat is available with supported online game features. Open the Chat panel, enter your message, and press the send button to communicate with other participating players.
Please communicate respectfully and avoid sharing sensitive personal information through the game chat.
📤 Sharing
Use Share Site to share Gomoku Online with friends. When available during a match, you can also use the match sharing feature to share information about your game.
🌐 Internet Connection
Local 2-Player and supported AI gameplay can be played directly through the game interface.
Online Multiplayer, online player discovery, chat, tournaments, leaderboards, and other online services require an active internet connection.
